This condition occurs in males
and manifests itself with a significant increase in the volume of the
male mammary gland, uni-or bilateral.
In addition to being common, almost always presented as benign, introducing an increase in breast fatty tissue and a small proportion of glandular origin. It is more common in obese patients and those who usually eat certain medications or anabolic hormones that can alter or enhance muscle development or breast. It is important to control mammography to rule out any associated disease. The treatment is surgery, performed by various methods: liposuction with or without the removal of excess breast tissue.
