Letīs talk about your expectations

The goal of the aesthetic surgery is make you see yourself as good as possible, nothing can be done beyond this. The surgery does not make miraculous transformations. The following observations related to your expectations, will allow a better understanding between us.

The results of the surgery depend on a number of determining factors. Within that they are included (but not they limit): the conditions of the skin, the fat presence or absence, the age of the skin, the number and kind of wrinkles, the bony structure, as well as hereditary or hormonal influences. Another factor involved in the final result is the healing process that is not under the control of the doctor nor of the patient, since it is influenced by an endless number of personal characteristics, that go to from the genetic load, for example, the habit to smoke.

The surgeries to improve flaccid weaves, wrinkles or elimination of fat, are necessarily going to leave scars. In spite of which you have listened, all the surgical scars are permanent and they are not possible to be erased. The work of the plastic surgeon is to place the scars in natural lines of the skin, or in places where they are not observed easily or they are covered with makeup.

The plastic surgery is a combination of art and science, but no surgery is an exact science. This is the reason why it is not possible to guarantee a perfect final result.

During the postoperative period before you can appreciate the improvement in your appearance, probably it will have to happen through a characteristic period, in where a little swollen will be observed and they will appear bruises, followed by another period in which you will feel strange. Some patients will be able to experience one slight emotional depression after the surgery, this will happen in the stage in which you feel worse. It is not easy to see yourself swollen and with bruises, especially when the expectations are focused towards an improvement of the appearance. These feelings are very normal and, luckily, they will disappear in a few days. All the people are not equal. Many patients are able to appear in public one week after the surgery, although she requires a little makeup. You must isolate yourself by a period of approximately two weeks until you see yourself socially "acceptable."

If you have any questions about your surgery, be sure to evacuate them previously with the personnel of the clinic or myself. Well-meaning friends are not a good source of intelligence.

I personally make all the surgeries in my patients, as well as of the controls that are required. The surgical techniques that I make are a compilation of my personal experience: knowledge obtained in courses and seminaries in which I have participated to world-wide level, as well as the personal communication with other plastic surgeons and maintaining my mind opened to the suggestions of my patients. Instructions for the operating care pre and post are given to each patient with the purpose of obtaining good, predictable and consistent results.
